HP has launched the brand new Pavillion Gaming Notebook and the Omen 15, the smallest in the series of Omen by HP notebooks on offer,
After a strong showing with the Omen by HP notebooks last year that culminated in their immensely powerful and ridiculuously priced Omen X, HP has finally launched some affordable notebooks. While these notebooks are aimed at the average gamer, they have some not so average specs. While of course there is no GPU refresh from NVIDIA(Yet) the notebooks do feature the latest 8th Generation Intel processors and surprisingly also an option of 144hz Refresh rate display!
The Pavillion Gaming notebook will be HP’s entry level gaming notebook starting at INR 75k. The specifications go up to a GTX 1050Ti and Intel i7 8750-H, 128GB SSD, 1 TB HDD and 8GB Ram; even at this spec it ends up at approximately INR 95K which is a decent deal.
The brand new Omen 15 is said to have more features than ever before with the smallest size yet! It starts at INR 1 Lakh with specs going up to a GTX 1060 with an i7 8750H and an optional 144hz Display. It comes with a lot of premium features with zone RGB backlights for the keyboard, B&O speakers and a super thin bezel to help keep it sleek.
While both notebooks looks great and will definitely strengthens HP’s presence in the gaming notebook market in India, the most interesting thing was a software they showcased. Game streaming via the Omen Command Center. It essentially lets you stream your games from one Omen device to ANY windows 10 device on ANY network. Kind of like what GeForce Now offers. While the demo i played looked quite good and was via a wireless connection, it’s still on the same network and i can’t comment on genuine remote access.
The Pavillion Gaming notebook is already available on Amazon Here with the Omen 15 expected to be listed soon as well!
